Protest and transport for opinionated skateboarders

Project Overview

In New York City, it is common to associate the skateboard community with the hospitality industry, as many skaters work as bartenders and line cooks to sustain a living. I collaborated with an organization to reimagine transportation instruments as tools for protest and commentary.

Scope of Work

Services Workers Coalition was a cash relief network for and by New York food service workers, in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. In our partnership with SWC, I designed two skateboard decks that commented on socio-economic obstacles that affect NYC residents: police brutality and gentrification.
